The destination D23 event has brought the official opening date for Avengers Campus and some not so great news as well.

And now to the not so great news…
Earlier this year there were rumors that a new nighttime show was being planned for the 30th anniversary. We believe that the show was planned but canceled due to budget cuts. Therefore, Disney Illuminations will continue as the ‘projection show’.
Another piece of news that was given by the chairman of the parks, Josh D’Amaro, is that the Disney Stars on Parade will continue being present in the parks.
Some new smaller experiences will probably come to life in the start or during the 30th anniversary celebration but nothing has been confirmed. We can expect the full details for the celebration no sooner than Christmas.
