As suggested by a follower, today we will explore everything that’s known (and some rumors) about the latest Disneyland Paris Resort expansion. We will cover the current status of construction, attractions, restaurants, entertainment, rumors, and the opening date.
The land will have a brand new attraction and a re-imagined one.
Spider-Man WEB Slingers
This will be a brand new ride, with a new show building made to accommodate the attraction. It’s a clone of the already existing ride in California Adventure.
In the ride you will need to mimic Spider-Man’s moves as webs fly from your wrists. Think of it like a next level Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast!
“When Peter Parker’s helpful but otherwise buggy Spider-Bots get stuck in replication mode and escape from a WEB Workshop, Spider-Man must stop the rampaging robots before they wreak total techno-havoc across Avengers Campus. Problem is, they’re rapidly leveling up and becoming tough to beat!”
“Your task? Hop aboard a WEB Slinger vehicle and help weave a frenzied web to trap these friendly neighborhood sidekicks in true Spidey style. It’s up to you to unleash your inner hero and save the Campus from complete chaos!”
In the Californian version, you can buy add-ons in the store, a kind of wristband that allows you to enhance the game experience (or in this case, the ride). You can see them below.
Iron Man Coaster
The coaster will use the old Rock n’ Roller Coaster show building and track. Everything will be re-imagined with animatronics, music, effects and more!
Fly with some of your favourite Avengers, Iron Man and Captain Marvel. Experience the thrill of the old rock n’ roller coaster with a brand new story!
The pre-show has been completely re-imagined with a brand new iron man animatronic (like buzz in his attraction) that will give you all the details you need for your adventure!
With the opening of Avengers Campus the park will receive two more, much needed, restaurants.
Pym Test Kitchen
This restaurant will be themed around the Ant-Man Pym Particles. In the movie, these cause objects to change size. The food, if similar to those in California, will include some disproportionate elements. You can read more about it below.
The name is not official, so I made up my own. It’s an homage to the old Blockbuster Cafe (which was in its place). This restaurant will be a quick service restaurant and the theme is, you guessed it, Iron Man. A giant Hulkbuster (hence the name) will be featured in the middle of the restaurant.
This land will have lots meet n’ greets with the most popular Marvel characters. As new movies and series get released, we’ll get new characters. (This hasn’t been confirmed though)
The most impressive thing will be the Stuntronic Spider-Man that will be soaring the skies at the campus.
Latest Updates/ Construction
Firstly you’ll find the latest information we have received from our partners. After that you can see the latest construction photos.
Avengers Campus (as a whole)
The new Stuntronic will have a “crane” on top of the building, this has been added and is now waiting for theming.
The plants that will be displayed are growing, backstage. These will make up for he greenery along with other trees.
A never before seen supposed “Doctor Strange” meet n’ greet location is being built inside the Campus.
Iron Man Coaster
The trains and theming have been installed and are being tested for the last couple of days, everything is working just fine as of yet.
Theming is being added to the queue. The Iron Man animatronic will soon be installed but the decorations around are already there.
The facade is also being finished as all the round panels have been installed.
Spider-Man WEB Slingers
The ride vehicles have arrived and will soon be tested.
All the walls are completed and theming will be added very soon, some has already begun being installed.
Here are some of the latest photos of the land!
Disney is yet to announce the opening date for the land. We reported on some rumors that said the land would not open until early summer 2022. Nothing is confirmed yet, it could open as early as the 30th anniversary in March.
Make sure to check our other posts where we talk about all this in more detail!
As always, That’s a Wrap!
