Disney has announced its brand new wristband. The MagicBand Plus is supposed to improve guest visits, but what does it actually do differently?
First of all we need to know what the normal MagicBand does. The MagicBand is the key for everything in Walt Disney World. It’s your room key, the ticket to enter the parks, credit card, FastPass ticket (now to be Lightning Lane) and more. What can a new itineration of this bracelet possibly bring you ask? Well lets see!
The MagicBand+ lets you interact with Fab50 statues in the parks that are part of the 50th anniversary celebration. Your MagicBand+ also lights up during fireworks shows like HarmonioUS and Disney Enchantment by glowing with the different LEDs inside. You can even use it in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to “play like a bounty hunter in a galaxy far, far away and find virtual bounties”!
There will, of course, be a price to pay. At the moment it’s not known how much it will cost, but we can assume it will be more than the current MagicBands…
