I’m very happy to bring Main Street Wonders into the world, a small shop with my designs and 3D print pieces inspired by the park moments that stick with us long after we’ve leave the castle behind. Nothing mass produced, nothing generic. Everything is modeled, printed, and finished by hand.
Here’s a proper look at what’s in the shop so far, and what’s coming next.
The Scribe: A Bookend Inspired by Spaceship Earth
The first piece I released is called The Scribe, and it’s a geodesic sphere bookend inspired by Spaceship Earth. That instantly recognizable dome shape carries decades of storytelling about human progress and imagination, and I wanted a version of it that could sit quietly on a shelf, holding up your favorite books.
The Timekeeper: The Spaceship Earth Desk Clock
My favorite piece in the lineup is The Timekeeper, an analog desk clock built around that same faceted geosphere shape. Inside is a real quartz movement, so it keeps time properly rather than just looking the part. I liked the idea of taking a structure so tied to the concept of human progress through time and turning it into something that quite literally tells you the time on your own desk.
The Beacon: A Spaceship Earth Desk Lamp
The second release takes the same inspiration in a different direction. The Spaceship Earth Desk Lamp is a warm glow night light shaped around that same dome, but this time built to actually do something useful on your desk. It gives off a soft, warm light rather than a harsh white glare, which makes it as much a mood piece as a functional lamp.
The Communicator: A Pencil Holder Inspired by Spaceship Earth
Alongside the bookend sits The Communicator, a Spaceship Earth inspired pencil holder for anyone who wants a bit of that geosphere presence on their actual working surface, not just their bookshelf. Same idea as The Scribe in spirit: take a shape people already love and give it a quiet, everyday job to do.
What’s Coming Next
I don’t want to give too much away, but there are a few projects underway that I’m excited about.
The first is a new collection of clocks inspired different attractions, I’m working on one for Ratatouille and have plans for Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. The idea is to take what makes the rides stand out and combine it in a simple clock, I’m particularly excited for Space Mountain as that’s part of a larger collection.
With Disneyland Paris confirming that Space Mountain will return to its original De la Terre à la Lune theme once Hyperspace Mountain closes, I’ve started sketching out a full collection celebrating that Jules Verne inspired journey from the Earth to the Moon. Expect pieces that lean into that Victorian era, retro futuristic aesthetic that made Discoveryland feel so distinct when the ride first opened in 1995. It felt right to build something that celebrates the original vision just as Disney itself starts bringing it back.
Why I’m Doing This
The Main Street News has always been about looking closely at the parks, understanding the ambition behind what gets built, and sharing that with people who care as much as I do. Everything is currently shipping within the EU while I keep testing and refining the process, but if there’s enough interest, expanding further is absolutely on the table.
