Could we see an Universal “Mini-Park” in Paris?

Today, January 11, Universal announced the plans for a themed “mini-park” coming to the city of Frisco, Texas.

The new park concept, set in a lush green landscape and featuring immersive themed lands, celebrates Universal’s iconic brand of entertainment, humor, and innovation and brings to life its beloved characters and stories in ways that will wow even the youngest theme park goers.

The Bloomberg reports that “more cities, both in the US and internationally, could be coming”. With this PortAventura immediately came to mind, check the video to see why, but so did another thing.

When doing the research for the rumours regarding PortAventura and Universal, this appeared. What is it? It’s the European Trade Mark office and this shows that Universal has registered the trade mark “Illumination Studios Paris”.

Illumination is the animation studios that created Despicable Me, Minions and the soon to be released, The Super Mario Bros. Movie starring Chris Pratt as Mario himself. Unfortunately this is all I could find regarding this Trade Mark but here’s some more information found in the photo:

It can be used in several services including (what we really care) “amusement park attraction and theme park services; live stage performances, namely, presentation of live show performances; providing waterpark services; providing recreational areas for entertainment and amusement”
