As we reach the end of the year, a brand new one is on the horizon and just like in the past the time has come for us to look to the future and see what the horizon brings for 2025 at the Disneyland Paris resort.
You can choose to get a more in-depth look into everything coming next year via our video down below:
A new season: The Disney Music Festival
In Spring, Disneyland Paris will come alive with music with the first ever Music Festival in the resort. Across the Disneyland Park, different kinds of venues will come alive with melodies, concerts and interactive shows reflecting the different and rich musical worlds of Disney and Pixar. Minnie, Moana, Miguel and other Disney and Pixar Characters star in live concerts and musical encounters celebrating the songs that make Disney movies – and our lives – so magical, from timeless classics to today’s chart-toppers!

A total of 12 venues and shows will be sprinkled throughout the park, making sure you never leave the music filled action and at the end of the day all the characters and performers will come together to celebrate together in Central Plaza as the day’s festival comes to a magnificent end in true symphonic harmony. The Disney Music Festival will happen from April 19th to September 7th of next year.

A new Nighttime Spectacular: Disney Tales of Magic
January 10th will bring Disney Tales of Magic, Disneyland Paris’ brand new and fully original nighttime spectacular, replacing the outdated and frankly weak Disney Illuminations. Tales of Magic will transport guests to the most iconic Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Animation stories with an emotionally moving experience. It can be assumed that this 20-minute show will be the most technologically advanced in a Disney castle park anywhere as we now know exactly what will be and has been installed to make it a reality.

From Central Plaza to the back of Main Street USA guests will be totally immersed as the façades of the iconic street will be transformed in harmony with the show using state-of-the-art projection mapping technology with the help of 20 projectors hidden in the turn of the century buildings. All around the area, 60 new light fixtures, the 15 ultra-bright lasers, a brand-new architectural lighting package, featuring 400 architectural lights and so much more will further impact the crowds immersed in the show. Disney Tales of Magic uses the latest 3D tech and it will feature countless hand drawn animation sequences, bringing older characters to life in a way we’ve never seen them.

As with any Disney nighttime spectacular, pyrotechnics and fireworks will be included to light the sky in many different colours but by far the most exciting thing on this side of the crowds will be, for the first time ever in a Nighttime Spectacular, drones. Disney will use the skies as a canvas for many drones expanding beyond the boundaries of the castle while also providing a unique visual experience. When all these come together, Tales of Magic will have combined projections on the castle and Main Street, drones, pyro, fountains, sound, lighting and lasers.

Disney says the show aims to celebrate the magic within each of us by being split in 4 acts, if you will, these being: embarking on a new adventure with friends, love, memories of loved ones and the feeling of belonging in a group or family. It’ll invoke universal emotions driven by a powerful story encouraging everyone to relive the magical moments that have marked their lives. The soundtrack is very important and I’m happy to say that Disney has created over 20 custom arrangements of iconic tracks from the films composed exclusively for this production by an incredible 100-piece orchestra.

“New-ish” Stores: Disney Village Updates
Disney Village will continue with its transformation during the next years. When it comes to the Disney Glamour, Disney Style, Deco by Disney and Lego Stores, these openings have been postponed from the end of 2024 to early 2025, however no dates have been given. These stores will offer new shopping opportunities to guests by having one core product type, with jewellery, clothing and accessories including creations by Pandora to be offered in Disney Glamour, Disney Style to be the place for guests to find outfits and accessories with store exclusive products, including macarons for a sweet bite between shopping sessions and at Deco by Disney you’ll find all kinds of home products, decorations and limited edition collectibles, including the Art on Demand service where guests can print Disney works of art.

All these are set to open in the first months of the year but it doesn’t end there and the next section of transformations are already underway and will only open several months later, this includes the new Sports Bar, that’s merging both the old Sports Bar and the New York Style Sandwiches into one, with the outdoor covered seating area also receiving a lot of work. This is still phase one of the transformation and as we move ahead, news regarding the new Disney Village continue to emerge.

A new Adventure: Walt Disney Studios Park
Walt Disney Studios Park is where the biggest transformations are happening, including major transformations of existing areas and a huge expansion that will nearly the park’s footprint.

As you enter the park, World Premiere will welcome you in after passing by the Disney Studios, this is going to be an incredibly immersive area within the old Studio 1. Here, guests will go down a Hollywood boulevard, with its iconic palm trees, the stars of Hollywood Walk of Fame and the varied architecture of its facades.

A huge new building façade, recreating the iconic Walt Disney Studios in Burbank will be the entry point, bringing guests from and to the Disney Studios land that acts as the entrance of the park, these windows will be filled with details just like the real animators’ offices.

Mickeys of Hollywood Boutique, to the left when coming into World Premiere, is the major store in this area, inspired by the classic American department stores of the 1920’s. Here you’ll be able to find a wide selection of products inspired by Disney stories brought to life in the park. Many nods to Mickey Mouse will be found throughout the Art-Deco inspired theming, from the wallpaper and furniture to the costumes worn by Cast Members. A large golden statue of the mouse himself will be the centerpiece of the whole store, designed just for this location by Disney animator Eric Goldberg.

On the other side of the street, guests will be able to find the Hollywood Gardens Restaurant, where you’ll dine under the Californian night sky at any time of the day in an elegant outdoor setting. This will be an incredibly authentic looking area of World Premiere where all details have been thought of, from the bricks you can touch to the large fake trees surrounded by tables and seats.

To really make this whole area feel alive, a huge Los Angeles skyline will surround all the buildings inside Studio 1, filled with details like the iconic sorcerer’s Mickey hat building behind the Disney Studios Façade, the legendary Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood sign on the hills and so many more, these that will be brought to life with special projection mapping with all kinds of different animations from planes taking off to neon lights blinking, fireworks in the distance or moving sky tracer lights. At the back of World Premiere is the Disney Theatre, an all-new façade filled with all kinds of detail, this is where you will be transported into the many immersive worlds of Disney, Marvel and Pixar as if you were stepping into the screen itself.

Outside is World Premiere Plaza, this whole area is still under heavy construction and is set to have all new decorations, pathways, lights and trees. World Premiere and World Premiere Plaza are officially set to open in Spring 2025.

A still distant World: Disney Adventure World & Frozen
Unfortunately, the news that World of Frozen wouldn’t open until 2026 were broken by Josh D’Amaro earlier this year, this should also be when Adventure Way and Adventure Bay, including its restaurants, merch locations, gardens, shows and Tangled ride will open. However, as construction moves ahead, I’m convinced this whole side of the park will be near completion by late 2025, meaning we’ll have some incredible views of everything throughout the year with the many construction update videos until it’s all said and done, so I invite you to follow along and subscribe as to not miss anything we have planned for 2025!

And now, as always, thank you for reading and That’s a Wrap!
