We often hear that Disneyland Paris should build this ride or come up with a land around a certain theme but one question that can arise is, does Disneyland Paris have room to expand? The short answer is: yes, they have lots of expansion possibilities! The longer answer goes into more detail because, where are these locations?

Disneyland Paris was built with expansion in mind, in fact, if the investment happened the resort could nearly double its size with new hotels, parks and more. Here’s a look at plots of land reserved for future expansion.
Let’s take a closer look at Disneyland Park, Disney’s theme park that has gone the longest without an expansion. That’s not because of lack of space! There are several very large plots of land and some smaller ones around the park that you might’ve passed by without knowing!
Now let’s head over to Walt Disney Studios Park. One of the most important reasons behind the lake expansion was to unlock brand new expansion areas, as seen here. We don’t yet have a layout of Lion King but based on the models shared by Disney at D23 Expo the red area should be close to it.
When it comes new hotels, Disney Village, the convention center and others, the resort has many hectares to expand too, especially behind Sequoia Lodge. Notice the blue area by Walt Disney Studios, some years there was a hotel proposed for this location and it doesn’t appear in the models as a park expansion.
And of course how could we forget the 120+ hectare “3rd park” plot. Eventually the resort will expand eastward and this is where all the focus will be at, of course it wouldn’t just be a theme park as you can fit both DLP and WDS in this location (with all the expansion plot we went over)!
