Metro Denver’s luxury home market in May posted its strongest month in almost four years, according to a report by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage  released Wednesday.

Buyers snapped up 76 homes costing $1 million or more, a 73 percent increase above April’s 44 and 61 percent more than May 2011, the report states.
